Group Nutrition Seminars

Group Nutrition Seminars

The Fit and Food Connection offers group nutrition classes which encompass a wide variety of nutrition education. We also  partner with Beyond Housing to offer seminars, taught by Joy Millner, on a quarterly basis. We recently hosted a two-part nutrition seminar, taught by a guest nutritionist and personal trainer, and welcome opportunities to bring nutrition professionals to share their passions with those in need. Please see below or visit our Happenings Page for an updated schedule.

Beyond Housing Quarterly Nutrition Seminar | April 2, 2016

This seminar was the first in our 2016 quarterly series of nutrition education with Beyond Housing. In this seminar, lead by Joy Millner, we discussed carbohydrates. Together we learned the importance of a low carbohydrate, high protein diet. We also discussed potion control, and how small changes can yield big results.

Testimonials

“In January, I attended your Fit and Food Connection seminar. It covered everything from fitness to nutrition to cooking healthy to meditation and stretching. It was so empowering and liberating. I learned so many wonderful tips on portion control. There was a healthy snack available for us to eat, and an exercise segment that got us moving and feeling energized. I have truly been impacted through the programs of The Fit and Food Connection.”
