Five Rejuvenating Morning Rituals for Sleepy Fall Mornings

November 7th, 2021

We are in the midst of the seasons of darker days. It can be hard to wake up in the darkness and get going with your day in a healthy, centered, and motivated way, and you may find yourself slipping into a wellness slump.

We’re here to help with that. Here are 5 rejuvenating morning rituals to ease into these days:

1. Hydrate and breathe. Nourish your body with a warm cup of water with lemon and some deep breathing. Be nourished by water and breath, two life-giving and sustaining sources.
2. Move your body. Stretching, working with light weights, taking a quick stroll outside, or doing some yoga or Qigong are a few ways to awaken your body.
3. Center yourself. Meditation, mindfulness or a prayer practice can be used to center your mind and heart, engage a deeper purpose, set an intention, or gain clarity.
4. Begin positively. Use a gratefulness exercise. Call to mind 1-3 things you are grateful for to begin the day with positive thinking of your blessings.
5. Get inspired. Listen to your favorite podcast, YouTube talk, or online speaker. Read a wellness or self-improvement article (such as those on our website), a daily
devotion/reflection, or part of a book, to get your mind motivated.

Find one or multiple rituals that work for you each morning, or try a different one each day of the week.

Here’s to a fall of healthy, inspired, nourished and uplifting mornings!
