The One Minute Rule: if it takes less than one minute to complete, do it without delay
Small tasks have a tendency to add up to daunting chores. One great and simple way to avoid this is to apply the One Minute Rule. For example- when you’re changing, instead of placing the shirt you were wearing on the nearest surface, take the time to hang it up right then. Or instead of placing your dish in the sink after you finish eating, take the 30 seconds to put your dish in the dishwasher right away. This creates a cleaner, calmer environment and prevents those small, daily tasks from becoming big roadblocks in the future.
