Times are still changing and things are starting to reopen. That means, for almost all of us, our daily routines are going to change a little bit yet again. We can consider this something happiness expert Gretchen Rubin calls a “clean slate”. Clean Slates are the perfect opportunities to start a new habit or eliminate an old one. Take this opportunity to identify one habit that you have developed in the last couple of weeks or one habit that you have been wanting to start but haven’t made a priority yet and then USE THIS TIME TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. Examples or ideas:

Habits to remove:

    • Using social media right when you wake up or right before bed
    • After dinner snacking or drinking
    • Binge watching TV
    • Hitting the snooze on your alarm

Habits to add:

    • Start every morning by moving your body for 30 min- whatever that looks like for you
    • When we start going back to work, pack your lunch every day instead of buying it
    • Drink a full glass of water first thing in the morning and again before each meal
    • Maintain a consistent sleep schedule- waking up and going to bed at the same time every single day
    • Reading before going to bed every night instead of scrolling social media
