We all know that vegetables are good for us. And unlike most other foods, the only downside to eating too many vegetables is probably just a temporarily too full stomach. But how to incorporate more of this wonderful food group into our lives? Make sure that you never have a meal without something green in it. Ideally, our meals would be full of all sorts of colors, but if you have to choose just one, make it something green.
Here are a few easy ways to do this:
● Making soup or stew? Stir in a bag of spinach to your pot
● Having a sandwich? Add arugula or spinach to it
● Chicken wings for dinner? Make sure you don’t skip the side of celery
● Grilling a hot dog or brat? Top it with roasted peppers and/or jalapenos
● Blending a smoothie? Throw in frozen spinach too
● Going out for a meal? Opt for a side salad instead of (or in addition to!) fries
● Omelet or scrambled eggs for breakfast? Saute some kale to mix in with it
