Stair Workouts to Try This Fall

October 11th, 2021

Everyone has heard about the benefits of taking the stairs instead of the elevator, but have you ever considered utilizing the stairs outside of a way to get from one floor to another? Walking (or running!) stairs can be a great way to get your heart rate up, build muscle, and get stronger. Below is a stair workout you can try on any set of stairs- ideally one that is more than 10 steps high, bonus points if it’s more than that:

● Run/walk up and down the stairs
● 10 squats at the base of the stairs
● Go every other stair up the stairs and back down normally
● 10 push ups (you can do these from your knees if need be)
● Go sideways up the stairs facing the right and back down normally
● 10 squats
● Go sideways up the stairs facing the left and back down normally
● 10 push ups

Repeat as many times as you have time/energy for. You can make this workout harder by moving faster up or down the stairs.
