Why send Valentines? We all remember our grade school days when every year we would all pass out our Valentines on February 14th to each of our classmates. It was always so exciting to open up each valentine and read whatever little message was written inside. This year, let’s bring back the valentine.
Benefits of Sending a Valentine
● Taking the time to send a valentine to your friends and family is a way to boost not only the happiness of your recipients, but also your own happiness- one way to make ourselves happy is to make others happy
● Reminding the people in your life why they are important to you will improve your relationships which is one of the key components of happiness in life
● Happier people are more likely to lead healthy lifestyles and stick to their habits and goals
● You can help support the United States Postal Services by mailing your valentines
We all know the little burst of happiness we feel when we open the mailbox to find a letter that’s not a bill or advertisement. This Valentine’s Day season, your challenge is to send a valentine with a little message of why you are glad the recipient is in your life to at least three people that you care about. It’s easy to think that the special people in our lives know how much they mean to us, but it’s an assumption we shouldn’t make. Make this Valentine’s Day special, for you and the people you care about.
